Nurceren McClung

LANDSCAPE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL

Nurceren decided to become a landscape architect when she was around 9-10 years old. I loved playing outside but did not have the free and safe environment to do so in my hometown, Eskisehir, which is a small city in the Midwest of Turkey. I dreamed of having parks and playgrounds in my neighborhood that I can safely walk to. With her dream, she got into Bilkent University to study Urban Design and Landscape Architecture. While in college, she had two internships focusing on urban design and horticulture in the Netherlands, in 2012.

Nurceren loves to design as a team, brainstorm, and collaborate. She pursues sustainable design solutions in landscape design and believes that involving the public/users in the design process is what enriches the final product. She loves dancing and has a love for travel, and she loves reading psychology books and articles. She occasionally joins Latin dance classes in Austin. She carries her sketchbook with her whenever she travels. Finally, she is in the process of becoming a Registered Landscape Architect.
