Melissa is from the DFW Metroplex and enjoys spending time outside, preferably by a body of water. Her covid hobby was doing jigsaw puzzles (which she continues to love) and she has been an artist all her life. Her favorite road sign is “Obey Warning Signs State Law,” and her favorite warning sign is “Electrical Hazard” (because it looks like the person is dancing).

Melissa graduated from the University of Georgia in 2022 with a Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture and a Master’s in Urban Planning and Design. While in school, she worked with an environmental planning firm and a residential design firm. She loves landscape architecture because it allows her to create small (or big!) moments of joy for all kinds of people.
