The design focused on creating an inviting family-friendly outdoor environment with functional spaces for relaxation, dining, and play. Native and deer-resistant plantings were integrated alongside sustainable stormwater management solutions to ensure resilience and harmony with the natural surroundings.
Managing grade changes and stormwater runoff presented challenges for the site. Terraced plant beds were introduced to control grade transitions, and a large dry creekbed was designed to manage rainwater during storm events, preventing flooding of neighboring properties.
